What is SCORE?

The SCORE ASSOCIATION is a Non-Profit Association Dedicated to Entrepreneur Education and the Formation, Growth, and Success of Small Business Nationwide.

How Does It Work?

Free and confidential one-hour mentoring sessions are available most weeks at our SCORE Office. Our office is located within the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Offices, 403 N. E. Jefferson St., Peoria, IL 61603

One or two SCORE Volunteers will meet with you to discuss your needs or issues. Sessions are typically scheduled for one hour. Feel free to ask any questions you may have whether you are in business or interested in starting a business. The SCORE Volunteer(s) will answer questions and offer suggestions.

You may schedule subsequent sessions, as you desire. If your need requires specialized expertise, another SCORE Volunteer with that expertise may be asked to attend. All information is strictly confidential. There is no charge for a meeting with SCORE Volunteers.

Who Are the SCORE Mentors?

Mentors are working, semi-retired or retired, experienced people, managers, or business owners from widely diversified fields. They donate their time to advise and assist you with business planning and operations. They provide insight into how to plan, start, franchise, manage or obtain financing for a business. Some volunteer mentors have the general business knowledge and some have specialized expertise.

What areas are served by SCORE Peoria?

SCORE Peoria serves 14 Counties in Central Illinois: Fulton, Grundy, Knox, LaSalle, Livingston, Marshall, Mason, McLean, Peoria, Putnam, Stark, Tazewell, Warren, and Woodford Counties.
