How I can help you

Andrew Ngui is the Director of Innovation and Startups at the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council. A detailed systems thinker, innovator, and futurist, his focus is on leveraging insights and frameworks to improve economic performance; nurture startups, and curate the innovation community. He consults with both innovators and leaders across the community to build capacity: sharing practical knowledge to identify problems, conducting experiments to validate assumptions, and scaling business operations. Prior to joining the EDC, he worked at MIT Bootcamps where he launched a robust portfolio of innovation programs globally. He also founded a global founder community that has launched hundreds of startups and raised millions. In his first career, Andrew was a specialist focused on designing navigational experiences. He operationalized and launched an intuitive 3-step system to help visitors navigate one of North America’s largest transit systems. Andrew earned a Specialized Honors in Design from York University and Sheridan College in Toronto, Canada; a design program that blends creativity, innovation, academic rigor, and interdisciplinary collaboration. As a life-long learner, he attended executive programs and completed graduate coursework to upgrade himself. Recent programs include UoPeoples MBA coursework, Irrational Labs Behavioral Economics Bootcamp, Stanford’s Design Thinking Bootcamp, and MIT Bootcamps.
